Danny designed the crossover and I designed the cabinet for Al Wooley's RAV-6 two-way speakers that utilize Danny's M-165X woofer and Al's RA104.5 custom Arum Cantus ribbon tweeter. A local Austin member of the Lone Star Bottlhead chapter heard them at a recent Austin Bottlehead meet, and asked to come to my house to give them a serious listen/review in a quiet environment. I've never had a "reviewer" do his thing here, so I said what the heck. David came over a few days ago and we talked quite a lot about music, its reproduction and room influences, etc etc. About three hours later, David left, thanking me for my time, which was fine with me - a new experience. An honest opinion-filled review is now on Al's RAW forum:

I had my 5-year-old Sherwood Newcastle CD980 20-bit CD player in place, so that was spinning the CD's. Yesterday evening I replaced it with my new 24-bit/192kHz tube output HDCD player, so I'll have to get David back over for a listen.
David commented very positively on the woof/tweet integration, so that kudo belongs solely to Danny!
Maybe Al will be convinced to put the RAV-6 kit back up for sale now.
