Hi,

We're just in the middle of a few renovation projects in our house. :banghead:  One of then is for our HT/Stereo listening room.  It is 1,824 c.f. (19' x 12' x 8') with an area rug, thick curtain behind the seating area.  I have a pair of Paradigm Studio 60 v4, Paradigm Studio cc-590 v4 centre, Paradigm Studio ADP-590 v4 surround (2 pairs) and a Velodyne DD-12 subwoofer.  The surround pre/pro is an anthem avm-30, DSR-505 HD Satelite receiver and I'm using a yamaha DVD-S1700 universal disc player.

I'm looking at either the 9B-SST and the 3B-SST amps combo versus the Anthem Statement A2 and A5 combo.   My concern is that I have enough power when watching/listening to movies and that I have enought power for listening to 2-channel recordings (i.e. rock, RB, jazz, classical).   As they say I want my cake and eat it too! :thumb:

I look forward to your opinions/suggestions.

As far as the Brystons that is more than enough power. I have the 3B SST powering Studo 100 v2 and Studio 20 v3. The 2B-LP powering my center and rear channel and my 3B-ST powering my monitor 9's. And I typically listen around 92 db.
The only exception to this is if you're listening to a high quality DTS concert recording and you try pushing the db's to 95+. Then your amps will run out of steam and you might damage your speakers as well. But I use a bass boost as well, so maybe you won't encounter any problems, as far as power goes.
