What do I need to "measure" my room?

Brand new to this topic.  What equipment/software/etc do I need to get data on my room?

You'll need a mic and a soundcard in your PC that supports full duplex operation.

Can an Extech digital sound level meter measure all frequencies better than a Ratshack meter, Bryan?

I'd imagine it would work OK.  It's really a matter of whether it has the required line out to feed the PC.

I have it loaded on my lab top. Maybe we should set up a test at RMOF to show people how to use it.  aa
