How to Work out Cabinet Size
«

Hi Everyone
Do any programs or websites exist that would help with the design of cabinet dimensions for line arrays.
I have a bunch of 4" drivers and possibly some 6" or 8" drivers that I am considering for use in line array projects. Trouble is, I have no idea about what cabinet size to use.
One idea is to have the side panels held together with bolts throughout the vertical axis which would allow me to move the rear panel in or out to try out different cabinet volumes.
Does anyone have any ideas on this question?
Thanks

One of the more popular programs, especially for people who are just getting into enclosure design, is Win ISD. It doesn't offer many options but it's easy to use. It's a freeware program that's available from this site:

Also, don't forget that you don't have to have a single mass of air in the array cabinet. You can partition the cabinet into several smaller volumes, individually sealed , ported etc.
