More, perhaps, later, but this kit is a winner in my book. It sounds better than anything I've used, including the Yamaha R-70 pre-amp section and the Rolls V29. Lots more bass and middle range punch and, oh my God, is that soundstage?

Been exploring bunches of LPs since I first fired it up Saturday and, well, I'm one happy camper. Alan Parson's I Robot was nothing less than a revelation with the Bugle.

Thanks Hagerman.

(One note: it costs closer to $75 to build now and good luck finding those itsy-bitsy screws/nuts to hold the battery connectors in place.

(OK, a second note: I ordered on a Monday afternoon and had SHIPPING ackowledgements from both Hagerman and Digi-Key within THREE hours. Everything was on my doorstep by Friday afternoon!!! Now, that's amazing service.)

congratulations on the Bugle. I loved mine right off the bat. I came from a Cambridge 540p. Pretty humble stuff we used but from what I read some people prefer this humble bugle to stuff costing around $500+. I hear it gives the Slee Jazz some competition.

I will go on to build something else but I will keep this Bugle ....

Congratulations!

I too have a Bugle for my Garrard Lab 80.  The battery PS is good.  I would suggest to try the Bugle PSU.  To me, it adds dynamic punch and more convincing tone than the battery and in the long run, is a more cost efffective route to go.

On a side note, after spending some time with your Bugle and felt that a tweak is in order, I would suggest for the Op Amp to try LM 4562.

regards,

Abe
