Orion speakers audition

Last weekend I went to Santa Fe and had the oportunity to audition those speakers, first,  the reference are my VMPS r-40 mwith trt. The room is a hard floor without any treatment, he has 4ch ,150w per ch. 1ch for mid ,high and the two woofer. I do not remember the amps brand, cables  no high end ,preamp Tac.transport a sony no high end. Any way the sound in bass was almost in the 20`s better than my r-40 by far, even at low volume, no distortion at all. Clear mid and high with good separation of instruments,no distortion. this speaker is a winner if you build yourself, Why? you can build it for less than 3,000. and for that price there is nothing who can sound close. Totally assembled for $4,500 aprox. because the amps are around $1,800.I will go with Vmps. Almost the same price and the quality of the ribbons are way superior in tonality and clarity.
