Hi to all, this is my first post! 

I have 12B preamp and 4B ST amp.  When using high level inputs, I rarely can get past 9 oclock on the volume control.  I may be interested in getting a newer Bryston preamp and am wondering if the current series (BP26/16/6) or the BP20/25 have different (lower) gain through the high level inputs than the 12B?

Welcome.

The BP26 has the same gain as the 12B.
We could build you a custom BP26 with 6 dB less gain if required.

The new amplifiers have 'sensitivity' switches which allow you to reduce or increase gain at the amplifier input.

Thanks James.  Is it possible to modify an existing preamp or do you have to build one from the ground up??

Hi Keith,

Checked with engineering and I was wrong - the 12B has 20 dB of gain the BP26 has 10dB of gain. So we can still reduce the gain on the BP26 but it may not be necessary.
