A Call For Prayer
« on: 25 Jul 2007, 01:06 am »
Friends,

With much sadness I come to you and ask you for your prayers.  Not for myself but for a dear friend to me and all of us here at AC.  Our brother Freejazz is facing a very life threatening health condition and I ask for all that be of like mind and soul, to remember him in your thoughts and prayers.

For those of a different religious persuasion, I do not offer the following in any spirit of offense or intent of proselytizing.  Rather, it is for the encouragement and empowerment of those sharing a similar faith as myself - to focus our hearts and minds and to remind us of the power and authority we have in such circumstances.

To those of whom I speak, remind the Father of His promise to Scott that He made here: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=29&chapter=53&version=9

Thank you all.

-Bob

I certainly hope Freejazz recovers quickly and completely.

While I haven't dealt with him too much, my few encounters have been quite pleasurable and he struck me as a good guy.

No matter which road we take to our gods, I hope my prayer will mean something for Freejazz.  My prayers are certainly for you, freejazz, in this time of need.  May you be well soon.

Bob, I hope my prayers are acceptable in your circle.

In conversations over the last year, Scott left an indelible impression as a positive and kind individual.
My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

This is not good news....I thought Scott had won the battle...he's battled before and has always has come out on top.

I've never met him in person....but with PM's and trading music I've come to believe he's a stand up guy.

I wish him the best in this new battle....and hope he come out on top again.

Good luck Scott....your in my prayers..... :thumb:

Perhaps one thing we can all agree on as members of Audio Circle is that we pray by making, "Joyful Noise Unto The Lord"  The next time we all play our various systems with the multitude of components, we take a moment and send our good thoughts and prayers out.

Woodsyi,

It is for each of us to find our own path and truth.  The intent of our hearts defines the value of our worship, in whatever form that may take.  By your comments the intent of your heart is clear to see and as such its value here is immeasurable.  Of course your prayers are welcome here, as well as those of all who hope for the welfare of their fellow man.

ZLS,

Excellent...let's do!

I traded PM's with Scott last week.  He has a huge heart and clearly strong Faith.  He spoke of his illness only in that he wants to make things ready for his wife should he have hard times through this process.  I hope this thread acts as a sort of vortex for all the healing and helping powers we music lovers possess.

Get well, Scott.

Wow ... all I can say is "THANK YOU" to Bob and to each of you.

This was not meant to be public, yet now that it is, I can freely say that I am most grateful for your sentiments, thoughts, wishes, prayers and positive energy.  Your posts and PMs have been appreciated beyond that which you may ever know.

This most recent issue was a huge surprise in follow up exams post heart attack.  The prognosis may not be good, but the protocol is aggressive and hope is boundless.  We have defeated this nasty bugger twice before - each time against the odds, and can only wish that with even lesser odds, the third time is the charm.

I have not posted a great deal here or anywhere, but I have so greatly enjoyed reading your posts and conversations.

I have been fortunate to meet a few of you - Tito, Levi, Josh ... and it was such a pleasure to meet such thoughtful and passionate people.

Chris, although we have never met, you have left an indelible impression as one of the kindest, most thoughtful folks I have ever experienced.

To those of you with whom I have transacted, again, I say thanks.  Even recently, Jeremy went above and beyond to ensure satisfaction with an issue that was in no way his fault.  That is so rare these days.

To those of you with whom I have corresponded, this pleasure is equally true.  What an interesting and diverse group of folks who have been brought together by the love of music and the equipment that reproduces it in our homes.  Our tastes, preferences, etc. may be very different, but each, in his/her (O.K., mostly his) own way, derives great joy from the equipment and sound.

To the manufacturers, dealers and modders participating on this Forum whom I have been fortunate to own your products or from whom I have purchased equipment over the past 30 years, again, I say thank you for sharing your passions, talents and skills.  Bob, Wayne, Dan, Dusty, Mike D, Frank, Nathan, Jim, Roger, Rick, Mike G. and Ric - it has been such a joy.

There have been so many joys in my life, for which I am so fortunate.  I count my amazing wife Ellen as number one, friends, family and pets number two, but music, sound and audio would most likely come next.  Even now, as I have begun to again sell off the big two-channel system, I find great joy in a small HT system I have put together for Ellen that costs less than one component from past systems.  It is still ultimately about the Music.

I hope to continue sharing these joys for a long time to come, so in closing ... to the immortal words of Monty Python, "I'm not dead yet!"   :)

Scott,
As with the "many" others, wishing you the very best.  I'll personally do all I can.

We are the ones "fortunate" enough to be blessed by you.

Scott,

May God's peace and blessings be poured out without end upon you and yours during this challenging time. As St. Paul says in the First Letter to the Thessalonians (5:16-18), "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

Peace,

Dave B.

Scott,
I believe you have been around AC long enough to realize there is a lot of heart here. More-so than I think I have ever experienced amongst such a large group of people who mostly have never met face to face.
I can assure you that you are in many hearts and prayers.
I had a family member who was in the same situation and they told him the prognosis was not good and he should start getting his affairs in order. That was over 10 years ago now
Family, friends, faith and yes, music are all one needs and when you have them all, it is much stronger than any doctor's medicine.
 God bless and be well.

Karsten
