 Danny ,

any comment about Adire Audio going out of business ? Looks like those nice XBL drivers are no more .

Adire does not provide or manufacture any of our woofers and what they do now will have no effect on any of our supply capabilities of XBL^ equipped woofers. If I were to want additional woofers designed with XBL^ motors that still would be no problem. Dan is still doing and will be doing design work for OEM's. I can have him do anything for me that I am willing to pay for and have them produced by the vendor of my choosing.

Danny,

That's great to know. Its a proprietary technology that Dan Wiggins worked hard to get to the market. Its unfortunate that Adire is closing its doors though. They were a great and formidable company. If y'all remember, after the NHT1259 designed by Ken Kantor, Adire's Shiva made waves and waves (literally) and shot up our enthusiasm for low priced high performance subwoofers  Well...they had a great run, and I'm sure we'll see them somehow, somewhere...kinda of like the bounce back of Mark Schifter from Audio Alchemy to the now popular AV123. In addition, Dusty Vawter who was part of Audio Alchemy is doing well at Channel Islands Audio. The splitting of a company can bring forth newer companies that are even better and more powerful than the original.

Best,

Anand.

I miss Dan - met him at two consecutive CES shows.  A nice guy and an innovator.  I predict he'll be back and succeed.  :)

Well, That explains a lot... :duh: I've been trying to contact Adire for months and no one is returning my emails. I sent in a 4-channel Hypex amp that they built hoping they could finally fix the power supply issues. This was the 3rd time its been in their shop and after a couple of years of unanswered emails and promises, I knew this was coming. Now I'm just trying to get the amp back so I can get it fixed elsewhere or at least salvage some of my investment. Hopefully, I will hear from someone and my amp will find its back to me instead of the dumpster (fingers crossed). Thanks for the head's up.
