Power to Torus Unit
« on: 11 Jul 2007, 02:55 pm »
James, I just got and installed a 5 amp Torus unit yesterday and it's great. I had demo'd the 20 amp model but didn't need it for just my source components.

I know this has been discussed for other components, is this unit designed to be turned on and off as needed or left on and the components turned on and off? It only draws ~15 watts by itself, but I don't want to shorten it's life needlessly. Of couse I switch off everything when it's not going to be used for an extended period (days or weeks).

Thanks.

Joe

Hi Joe,

I would leave it on day to day and turn it off as you say when your not using it for extended periods.
