Well... w/ a little coaching (and more $$ of course) I could build my second Condor based PS more like F-100's.  Then I could see if its better than the stock Condor, or better enough to be worth twisting all those little yellow wires  :)

F-100 is that the same Condor unit I used?

Mine is a Power-One which is similar design to your Condor.

BTW, my unit is also running a bit warm so just to be on the safe side, I drilled some ventilated holes on both sides of the enclosure.

Crooner,
That is some serious PS you got there. What are those 3 black things on the right side of the picture. Are they ferrite beads?? How much improvement do you notice on this one over your old Power-One PS?

Yeah, they are ferrite beads to suppress EMI radiated from the big power transformer. I also used Stillpoints ERS sheets liberally inside the chassis for the same purpose.

Basically, the improvement I got was a smoother less "electronic" sound. More organic if you will. I built this one for sheer fun, to test how far one could go with a Squeezebox PS. But you can certainly get 80%, if not more, of the benefits with the smaller 3A Power One supply, IMO.

BTW, mine runs super cool for a 12A supply!
