Mounting Bracket Size
« on: 12 May 2007, 11:56 pm »
Jason,

Can you tell me how wide my Ref 9s will be when using the mounting bracket kits and placing the amps in a vertical fashion? I have 7 Ref 9 V1s and a standard Middle Atlantic 19" rack. I am trying to determine the optimum layout? I don't believe that 7 will fit on one rack shelf. Does you or anyone else make a custom shelf for these amps?

Thanks, Tim

The mounting bracket is exactly the same size as the Ref 9 face plate.
7 Ref 9 won't fit in the 19" rack if you include the mounting bracket.
A lot of local sign shops will be able to make you a piece of very thick acrylic plate with indented slot for spacing those amps.  If you space them by 1/2 inch apart, that will work.
The cost of making the acrylic plate will probably be less than $100.  A smoky color will be very nice.
