If your B&K is anything like the Ref 30, that I had, you will have a huge improvement when you get your new pre. I'm not out to bash B&K, but in my experience they aren't too difficult to beat. They are a big step up from mass market products and a good stepping stone to mid-fi and I enjoyed my time with them. (I also had 140 mono's) I would expect a big smile on your face when you hook up the new unit.

Thanks for the comments.

I think it sounds fantastic personally. Incredibly fast, smooth - the details, prescence and clarity is just amazing.

And I totally agree with you on the B&K. It is good for what it is, but definitely isnt going to blow you away. It is easilly the weakest link in my setup right now.

And yep, Ty signed these speakers on the back.

Also have some RT55 signed by Al Ballard and Paul DiComo
