Do all cartridges sound the same?  No, they don't.
Do all tone arms sound the same?  No, they don't.

Now all things being equal...

Do all turntables with the same arm and cartridge sound the same?  If not, how profound are the differences?

Depends on your definition of profound.

Years ago, I swapped an Alphason HR-100/Dynavector 17D from a CJ Walker to a VPI HW19 and eventually to a Sota Star.  There were differences.  The Walker didn't have the bass impact of the VPI, nor the depth of field.  The Sota was a little quieter, but didn't have the energy of the VPI.

The differences were audible, and of a greater magnitude than swapping cables.
