I live in Italy and after some evaluations I have decided to buy the 968; I am in contact with Albert Wu (he is very kind and supportive, Thank You Albert!) and I'll buy the speakers directly from Hyperion. I have clarified almost everything concerning shipment and Customs, there is only an issue remaining: My local import agent suggested me to ask Hyperion to include a CE certification together with shipment, but Albert informed me they didn't apply for the CE certification because "The majority of our products are speakers, which is really nothing about electronic".
Hyperion speakers are already imported in the European Community, so I think that CE certification is not a critical issue.
I would like to know if any European member of this group has already imported Hyperion speakers from US and if they had problems with Customs.

Nigi, would you please explain what "CE" certification is?  Some of us, including myself, do not know what this is.

Most companies self certify their equipment with the exeption of any required EMC emission testing which, due to the complexity and expense often requires an outside lab.  When no specific directives appear to target a specific product , often the requirements of the "Low Voltage Directive" are followed especially when it's an electrical product.  CE marking, in general, indicates that the manufacturer has done due diligence to ensure their product is suitable, and safe, for it's intended market.

you arrived before me  , and your explanation is complete. My custom agent will be able to import the speakers, but I would like to suggest Hyperion to put the CE mark on their products in the future.
