The testing of the Burson Buffer goes on.

Denny had a problem with the Buffer I sent him. One channel went out on him. When I received it back, both channels worked fine.

I lent the Buffer to mgalusha yesterday. He just let me know that one channel cut out on him.

It appears that there is an intermittent connection on one of the boards. Mike is going to try to trace the problem down. If he is able to find it, there will be a listening session this weekend comparing the Buffer to an analog modded SB and the Altman DAC.

I have been in touch with the folks at Burson. If all goes well, I may be offering an US assembled version of the Burson Buffer, with a few BOLDER touches, for sale.

Wayne,

Was it the left channel again?

I had it hooked up to my SB for a couple of days before it went out on me. While I did not have time to do back and forth switching between the Burson vs running the SB 3 direct, I'm fairly confident in saying that it's a very good way to overcome the modded SB 3 low output.

I'm going to speak to Wayne about building me one with a few little options to drive my amp(amps). As it was, without any tweaks, it did sound very nice.

Cheers
