hey guys,
Is the vintage gear at the Record Exchange a good deal? do they look the gear over or test for funtion?
a friend lives just a few blocks from there, the 1st time i visited my nose was buried in LP's for 3 hrs...i walked out of there with the largest load of crappy sounding used LP's ever, but still was happy to experience such an establishment. they literally stock 'everything'
A patron can't help but notice all the tube gear, reel-to-reels, speaks etc. i'm tempted to spend $20 a decent looking Heathkit, but never asked when i was there if the gear works or not.
Overall though, a fantastic idea for all the aging Public Libraries around! tongue-in-cheek of course...
