Hi:

My system integrated for 2 channel and HT/TV.  I currently am running a Boulder digital modded SB3 into a Zhalou 2.0 DAC which goes to an Odyssey Tempest Pre to an Odyssey Khartago Amp to Odyssey Nightengale front speakers.  I use a Marantz SR-7200 Receiver to power my Odyssey Nemisis Center and two NHT Super Zero rears.  I am looking into other speakers for the F,R, & Center (maybe the Strata minis, or building RAW HT8's).

In any case I would like some feedback about employing a multi channel amp into my setup.  Please keep in mind that this amp will at first only be taking care of my F,R, & C for HT but will also be my amp for 2 channel.  My budget for this amp is around $1,100.  I have looked at the ATI 1800 series.  180 watts per channel (new at $1,100).  Another amp on my short list is the AVA Omegastar 240EX3. 125 watts per channel (new at $1,099).  I could also get a used Odyssey HT3.  150 watts per channel (used around $950).  Other factors to consider is I am looking at replacing my Tempest pre with either a Promethius dual mono TVC pre, an AVA trancendance 8 tube pre, or an Odyssey Candela tube pre.  My room is 16x30 with a cathedral type ceiling emptying into a loft space overlooking the listening area.

Again, any of these above mentioned amps would do very well at HT.  I am looking for comments from members who have used any of these amps for  2 channel listening.

Thanks for any comments or suggestions.
