It blows my mind that people are still commenting on a dispute that opened back in September 2006. Surely, the dispute has either been resolved, or the two folks involved have moved on with their lives.

And Audiogon has still not resolved the feedback dispute

Audiogon has no teeth regarding disputes. It's a paper tiger. No one is obligated to follow through with any directive or suggestion AFAIK.

Audiogon is like the want ads in a newspaper: the newspaper won't go to bat for you if you get screwed by a seller. However why even have a dispute forum if it's only there for resolving feedback issues? You'd think the mods there could take care of feedback issues without the nonproductive public feedback.

Wind Chaser

If I was the seller I would have ignored the would be buyer right from the start.  Only a rude ignorant moron can't figure out where the caps lock key is or what it's for.

But it's so democratic!

Excellent question. As a whole, the revised Audiogon feedback system is worthless. Negative feedback never gets posted because the recipient is warned ahead of time and has the option of not accepting the submitted feedback. Non acceptance by the recipient means the feedback never gets posted.

I agree. The whole feedback approval by the recipient thing they've got going is a joke.

I feel lucky.  I've had nearly 40 audiogon transactions now with no real issues.  A few minor ones that were settled amicably among the participants only.

Audiogon has probably taught me more about audio than I'd have learned without it in five lifetimes.
