Oddly enough, when I saw your post on the Stereophile subscription thread, I was going to reply asking when Issue 8 would be out. I decided not to. Figured it'd come out when it comes out and I'd just try and wait patiently for it. 

While I'm not much for reading reivews beyond the overview of the product, I gotta say that TONE Audio is one gorgeous publication. Beautiful, high quality photography and fantastic production values. Nothing else comes close in my opinion. Ok, maybe Japan's Stereo Sound comes close. But only close

Anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest.

I agree, Tone is beautiful to read!
I have to add of course that the Norwegian magazine "Fidelity" is my favourite in the picture department.
But now Tone also gets the thumb up!

I remember downloading no.1 , and thinking about say TAS and so on, in download pdf files...
I wasn't expecting much, but was I ever wrong!!!
At page 47 there is a vinyl record in the upper right corner, and you can see the grooves, practically the individual grooves reflecting the light.

So in my country, Norway, one of the more popular songs of last summer was called "respect for grandiosa pizza".
Now, what am I getting at? Tone Audio might just be what we like to call a slice of heaven...
Less cheese, more meat!

I echo everybody's comments here. I really enjoy Tone Audio as well. If there is anything that readers can do in order to further this publication onwards let us know. Subscriptions that are free are great but I realize we live in the real world 

Anyway...are you getting around to reviewing the Linkwitz Orion? I think we had a discussion regarding this in the fall, and you had said that you would need to find one to audition as Siegfried doesn't send out loaners!

I did want to mention something else. I just finished reading Marc Philips' review of the Exclame integrated amplifiers. I think it would be interesting to also have your magazine audition the JLTi integrated amplifier which is a tube/gainclone hybrid jointly designed by Allen Wright and Joe Rasmussen http://www.customanalogue.com/jlti_mark_2.htm

I know for certain that this integrated amp would be on my shortest of lists if I was in the neighborhood for an integrated amplifier.

While not totally necessary, should you feel like throwing a dollar or two our way, it will be greatly appreciated and will go towards server fees and hiring some more guest writers this year. Tone pays all of their staff, so once in a while the bills do pile up a bit.

However, we are fully committed to keeping this a free pub.  We didn't want to put something out there for donations until we were over a year old, because I wanted people to see that we would stay in business first!!

We have a lot more fun stuff in store for you guys this year now that we have more writers and our website.  Keep an eye there in the next few months, as we will have quite a few more equipment reviews in addition to what you see in the magazine!
