Help me select speakers for an iPod

Suggestions for a reliable, good sounding docking station with speakers would be appreciated.

This is not a critical listening application. It is for my wife’s office credenza and will be used for background music while she’s in the office. I would like her to be able to just plug in her iPod and listen to tunes while in the office and pull the iPod out at the end of the day and take it with her.

First hand experience with recommendations will obviously be more helpful.

Thanks,
Jeff

Although the idea is anathema to me  , you are in luck. Gizmodo is doing a shootout of no fewer than 20 iPod docks!

You may have to navigate a little amid the iPhone hysteria to find the latest results.

I quickly skimmed the reviews yesterday and it looks like your concern about my solution is well founded in that none of these devices got a glowing review.

Thanks for the link and have a great FOURTH of July! :thumb:

make you a great deal on the audio engine 5, just pm me!
I have the black ones!  Bought them for the review in this
issue (#10) and don't really need them.

Great choice, easy to use, small and great sound!
