I've used it with varying degrees of success.  Works wonders for digital and rfi noise blocking.  I don't care for it around line level analog signals, at times it either does nothing noticeable or actually degrades the signal.  It doesn't seem to help at all with emi either, in my experience!

I have a small 3"x5" sample piece. All I use it for is to set my cd disc stabilizer on so I don't scratch my player. It's sonically worthless.

Well that netted me two very different responses! Question: anyone got some of this stuff lying around unused? I'm loath to order a whole sheet. I'll send you some uncle sam, pm me for mail address.
Any amount. I need about 6 square inches to do the CDP but I'm happy to experiment with whatever.

Hi Shep,

Might be worth exploring the sonic benefits of thin Cu sheet - either plain or adhesive 3M product.

As an alternative? I guess so. This is the first time I have ever caught wind of this particular tweak and I thought I had heard of them all! It would be a very thin sheet of Cu no doubt. I'm hopeless about this stuff. Scorn and Facination struggle for possesion of my audio soul! Still and all, many of yesterdays tweaks have found themselves acceptable and commonplace today.

I contacted Stillpoints directly, they were very helpful. I wrapped a 1in. wasteband around the toroidal transformer in my preamp. I arched a piece over the power transformer in my CDP as well as wrapping the IEC. Same for the transformer and IEC in my tuner. Overall effect is more detail/quieter backround. Next a 4in. square under the computer in my truck. A little can go a long way. Enjoy! :)
