Need industrial acoustic help.

I run a 125 ton punch press on occassion and this thing is insanely loud.
I was looking at it and a light bulb went off. I saw all these sheet metal covers that act like diaphrams, and the body of the press is shaped like a horn with a bare cinderblock wall behind to bounce all of the sound back to the operators.
I need some cheap solutions, I was thinking of covering the sheet metal with sound coat from a car stereo shop.
I also was thinking of cutting sheets of solid fiberglass to baffle the horn structure inside the press frame, and last but not least cover the walls with some dampening material. Any suggestions or warnings, I would love to hear your thoughts. I really want to have my effort be rewarded.
Thanks, Bill

You can glue Symar to the sheet metal panels and it'll stop them from ringing. Dead. It works really well. Even the 1/8" thickness is extremely good at this.
