whats wrong with gettng her a bose radio?  bose makes hifi that makes people happy.  mr bose is one of the most succesful people in the world of hifi...

At least your mom is interested enough in music to drop that kind of money. 

My mom lost any interest she had in music her last few years.  (Sorry, but I miss her this time of year.)   :(
