RM v60 HT Part Deux

SO....The shipment arrived, and the boxes were opened.

And now the "scene of the crime".

First we need a good foundation.  Here are the bases:

Notice the poor LRC in the background with a worried look on his face.  Although he was replaced, he now has a nice new home performing center duties under my 120" screen 8)

And also take a good look at the black and gold Son of AMPZilla who can't wait to prepare the "electron feast" to follow.

BUT.....more importantly just gaze that Piano Finish of those RM v60 bases!!

And nestled behind them the OXO with TRT's just waiting for lunch.

But something is coming.............."What is that thing", screams LRC :o

Well we knew it was going to happen, and even LRC was not ashamed to step down (or actually be carried off) to let the RM40C become the new CENTER to this HT.

But there is more to this tale, there is then the ethereal sound of large wings and suddenly we have "Winged Victory" lying here waiting to be placed on her pedestal.

And now all that is left is to adjust her damper, and "Fire her UP" :green:

She likes a firm hand, and Rock n' Roll :thumb:

And that is exactly what we gave her

Notice how, if I adjust her just right, she almost "appears" to "disappear".

Look at the opposite side from me.  It is disappearing as the photo was snapped.

John, that RM60 in front of the fireplace does not have a high wife acceptance factor!  ;-)

Strangely enough, he and his wife feel year round music is more to their liking than 2-3 fires a year (this is So CA ).

While it is done quite often, the reality is that those who place Plasmas over Fireplaces are also sacrificing one or the other in many cases, since heat, and soot are not things Plasmas exist well with.

The RM40 pictured is awaiting a stand that is to be built to raise it much closer to the Pannie, which will likely cover the fireplace opening completely.

This system is in a "HUGE" room, that is open to th large entryway, and a very large Kitchen.  Ceilings must be 9' to maybe 12' high, so the bass is very open and deep with long and varied paths.

Well, I'm not one to talk.  In CT, I have a gas fireplace, which I've never used because (1) it doesn't work for some reason, (2) I'm really not big into fireplaces, and (3) my RM40s basically block the view of the fireplace.  If it were up to me, the house would be built without a fireplace.  However, I've seen enough of those home selling shows to know that most other people really like fireplaces.

Maybe this will work :duh:

That's a better idea than most fireplaces!
