From the snippets I have read on the web, this game is very involving and will make you weep, lay in the corner in the fetal position, or send you over the edge.

Very cool, haunting, music they chose for the TV commercial.
Is it their own composition?  If not, I'd like to find the artist and song name.

Gary Jules' version of Tears for Fears' "Mad World" is the song.

As mentioned it's Mad World. Gary Jules covered it for the Donnie Darko soundtrack. If you haven't seen Donnie Darko, i'd recommend checking it out.

Yes, intriguing choice for the music - I think that it is a reference to the Donnie Darko feeling of angst, etc.

When I watched the DVD I had to play the song (in special features) over and over, because I wanted to learn it for guitar. I have Tears for Fears version which is good, but this version on minimal piano with the voice is really eerie.

I don't even know if the music is in the game though...

Very cool JQP.

I'm a rookie guitar player and would love to learn how to play this tune.
Would it be easy for you to TAB the music for this song?

For me it would not be easy. First I would need to ramp up on my TAB skills, after I would need to do a hundred other things on my list . Besides the fact that I don't have the song figured out yet  :guitar:...I am working on the eerie sound with finger-style. However I would bet you might find a tab or 2 out there on the web. Warning most tab sites want to infect your machine so be careful.

I am now dangerously intrigued by GoW.

Why dangerously? Because I hate to think that I would buy a $60 game

Why intrigued? Because it has online play  and Halo 2 is getting a little long in the tooth

Hey all

I'm new here, but just tried GoW. Unreal!  :duh: I almost went and bought my own X-Box after trying this game. I am no pro, and it was not too bad to learn. WAY BETTER THAN HALO 2!!! (Sorry to yell) Unbelievable game.  :o I am dumbfounded. :o

I definately wouldn't say it's better or even as good as Halo 2, the graphics definately are, but te gameplay and the story line are not in my opinion. I do like the game and I'll be playing it for a while, but the online multiplayer is not very good(I've only played it a couple times though). We'll see as time goes on if I grow to like it more.

What is the nature of the online play?

What do you not like about it compared to Halo 2?

I don;t like that the online is only 8 players, and I don;t like how small the levels are, which of course they must be because of the limited amount of players. As far as the single player campaign goes, Halo 2 had a much more immersing storyline, more weapons, a little more overall diversity, and it was just a little more fun to me. Granted I haven't played through the entire game yet, and I am liking it the more I play so all of this may change and actually look as as though it might. We'll see.
