Any Nottington Horizon SE owners here?
« on: 1 Nov 2006, 04:53 pm »
I've been considering to upgrade to this deck. Since I dont have a single Nottington dealer within 400 miles, I have yet to see one. All the pictures I've seen are regular Horizon being passed on as the SE.

Does anyone have a picture of this deck?

I doubt that TT will hold its own in the speed/rotational stability department. :nono:

Need to move up the line...

Hi Tim, thank you for that link. I have checked that site before and a bunch of other sites. All the pictures I see are Horizon. Horizon SE is supposed to be decoupled from that lateral bar. I dont understand why websites do not show a true picture of the SE.

Dear Psychicanimal,

Of course I have no experience with that Deck, but from what I've read, Horizon(not SE) is to provide dead-on speed accuracy, unlike Rega and Sota decks reviewed. http://www.aslgroup.com/nottingham/StereophileHorizon.pdf
On other sites I've checked, Rega Planar was running over 1% faster.  :nono:
I'm currently satisfied with my Pro-Ject Xpression w/ Speed Box, but I have been way to curious about the Horizon SE. It'll be nice as hell if I can get the SpaceDeck or better, but dont have that kind of cash at the moment.

Thanks for all the replies.
