LX II Released
« on: 7 Nov 2006, 07:55 am »

The LX II made the release at RMAF which was a good time do so.
The over all SPL of the  LX II is 91db we had wanted higher but this will do.And yes these are under rated by a db or so  :icon_lol:

Above is the measured Frequency response for the LX II in room measured frequency response.
Below you will see in room off axis from 0 to 45 degree horizontal measurements.

The mic was set at a height of 40" off the floor at a distance of 65" from the speaker
-The Yellow line, was taken on the tweeter on axis with the mic at 40" from the floor ,at a distance of 65"
-The second line the red line, was taken with the mic moved to 15 degrees off axis "horizontally "
-The third line the light blue line, was taken with the mic moved to 30 degrees off axis "horizontally "
-The fourth line the dark blue line, was taken with the mic moved to 45 degrees off axis "horizontally "
Notice the small amount of off axis upper end roll (from the tweeter) of less than 10db at 20k at 45 degrees off axis
- Our measurement room is 16ft wide by 40ft long with a ceiling of 8ft.
- 4 bass traps 1 located in each corner plus 6 sheets 2 X 4 of corning 705 placed along the walls with 1 located behind each speaker.
- Carpeted room with 2 layers of 3/8" felt then 1/2" under lay.
-

Below you will find the Impedance for the LX II with our new RA165.16 16ohm drivers.Over all Impedance is 9ohm load, this will be a easy load on most amplifiers with only a dip to 5.23ohm at 4500hz.
