Jaguar LFM vs Jaguar 2000
« on: 9 Apr 2025, 02:29 pm »
I own a pair of Jaguar 2000 paired with a powered sub. I am wondering how much better the Jaguar LFM combo is compared to what I have.

One big questions is, how much better are the mids and highs from the monitors of the Jaguar/LFM vs the Jaguar 2000?

How about the bass/monitor integration on the Jaguar/LFM vs the Jaguar 2000 with a quality powered sub?

Essentially I am trying to figure out if it's worth trying to upgrade to the Jaguar/LFM or just stick with the Jaguar 2000 and a high quality pair of subs.

If Mike or anyone else can offer their input it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hope Mike doesn't mind, but I am posting his DM response to this question. Posting here just for reference so others can see:

"I have been trying to think of any changes made to the Jag with LFM vs the Jag 2000. The more I think about it, the more I am pretty sure that there was little if any change other than working on the integration with the LFM. So, realistically, I don't think there will be much of a a change in what is coming out of the Jags themselves. The main advantages of the LFM were of course headroom and being able to precisely adjust and tweak the LFM response to match the Jags and the room. Hope this answers your question!"
