Any decent wireless amps for surround?
« on: 3 Oct 2006, 08:36 pm »
Does anyone have a recommendation for a wireless amplifier I can use for my surround speakers?  I saw a product or two like this at CES two years ago, but I haven't seen anyone mention them since.

I have a fairly large room an a pair of GR AV-1RS speakers I'm going to put on the back walls, and I want to put a wireless stereo amp in the bookshelf between them, rather than running wires all the way around the room.  There is a power outlet on the wall in back of the bookcase, so it should work out well.

Thanks, Ian

Has anyone tried this one from Thinkgeek: http://www.thinkgeek.com/electronics/audio/862c/

Its $99 from "Amphony" and uses a 20w T-amp(presumably TI?) amplifier module.
