Anyone heard the Benchmark System DAC1?

John Marks in this month's Stereophile talks about the Benchmark Systems DAC1 as being the only DAC under $1000 he will recommend.  It is of course another pro-audio product like the DIO.  The retail is $850 and you have the choice of line level out, or attenuated output via the volume control meaning you could run it direct to an amp, AND is had single ended and balanced outputs!  Lots of features, but how does it sound?  Does anyone have any experience with this product?

Haven't heard it, altho we had some mention of it's anti-jitter properties at some point.... but I am curious, what did (the delightful) John Marks say about the sound?
