Now that I have "most" of my collection ripped, I was thinking it would be really cool if I coould get a complete list of cd's and artists from my Slim Server.

Does anybody know of a way to do this?

Thanks,

George

I don't know if there's an 'official' way to do it.  I'm going to want to do the same thing.  I'll try to hack into the back end database and see what I can find.

George,
I do not think the slimserver allows you to do that. However, there's a free software called "Media Monkey" that will allow you to tag, re-tag, auto-tag all your songs, and it will allow you to generate all kinds of statistics on your collection, including exporting a list of album into .CSV (excel) format. It is quite user friendly, one of the things that I like is the "auto-tag" feature which it can go to Amazon.com and re-tag every song that wasn't properly tagged before. Once you did the tagging in MediaMonkey, it will automatically save into the FLAC file, and the new tag will be recognised by slimserver.

  Best regards
