I recently completed a pimeta headphone amplifier and I'm looking to upgrade my source (currently an Audigy 2 sound card).

I really like the Chime DAC, but I can't justify $600 for the half-kit.  It may well be worth every penny, but I ain't got the pennies. 

Has anyone here had success linking the HagUSB to a less expensive DAC?  I've been looking at the DAC-101 ($130) from AudioDIYlab:

The HAGUSB should safely connect to any external DAC.  That was the whole point - to be an upgrade to existing systems that wanted to add a PC as a transport.
