Learning about Home Audio
« on: 7 Sep 2006, 06:38 pm »
I’m looking for some help researching home audio. Specifically, I’m trying to understand what kinds of resources (besides this forum) exist for answering audio-specific questions. When you have a problem, how do you solve it? What kinds of things do you ask? Where do you get the best information?

Dolby Labs is sponsoring this research by offering a $75 gift certificate to Amazon.com in return for a one-hour phone interview about home audio. If you’re interested, reply to my e-mail (audiophile_sf@yahoo.com) with a daytime contact number and a little about your area of expertise. We’re looking to talk to a range of people from beginners to experts.

Sorry for the intrusion into your community. I won’t post here again with this type of thing. We’d honestly like to learn how you think about audio and would appreciate any insight you can provide.

Hi and welcome to AC.

I think your post is okay to post here at Audio Central (I'm the Moderator of it, but by no means the last, or only word).

I think I'll email you.  The gift certificate is nice, but I've always been curious as to what Dolby Labs, just 8 miles from me, is up to. So it's as much curiosity about you that I'd participate as you are curious about me/us  :)

Regards,

John / TCG
