Thiel CS2.4 Loudspeaker

Has anyone spent time listening to the Thiel CS2.4 loudspeaker?

I heard the CS1.6 first, in a good room, The huge soundstage surprised me - it was great. But, it sounded thicker than life and a bit colored. The electronics were Mark L. so I think it was the loudspeaker. It was involving but didn’t seem as accurate (the thick/colored sound) as I had expected it to be. It could have been the room-setup causing this problem.

I listened to the CS2.4 in a different room, not a good room. The detail was really excellent and it had lots of air, wasn’t colored or thick at all. I didn't get to experience the large soundstage the Thiel's have, again the room was pretty bad. This model seemed to have more potential and is worth a second listen when I get time.

Thiel has changed the Xos and the two new speakers are easier to drive with impedance lows of 3 ohms instead of 2 ohms.

I’m wondering how the CS2.4 would do in a 14x16x8’ room.

Any opinions or comments?
