Saw this in IMax(sometimes 3D), nice remake if not somewhat 'stale' story. Worth the viewing but 3times????  :o
Once was enough for me.

I guess Sacramento is a bit expensive :o. Either that or Seattle is cheap. The storyline probably wasn't as good as the first two movies, but the special effecs were very impressive. IMAX does have a good sound system, and it's hard to beat a good 85' wide, 6 story tall screen. The 3-D was decent, though not spectacular. Still, it is well worth the price of admission (for at least one viewing ). I actually got goosebumps during the opening credits.

I saw it 3 times because I watched it with different friends.

Though I would've paid to see it at least twice if I'd not ended up seeing it 3 times. But I doubt I would've seen it twice in one day as I did. My paying to see an IMAX movie 3 times is a pretty significant thing for me. As I don't pay for regular movies (pays to know the right people) I've gotten rather used to seeing movies for free (saw 5 movies this last weekend) and as such don't care to pay to see movies in theaters anymore. But an IMAX viewing is something entirely different. That's an experiecne that I'll pay for.

I've only seen Superman Returns in IMAX. And I've refused to watch it in standard 35mm as it can't possibly compare. Even though I am a bit curious to see the 3-D scenes in 2-D...

Brian-
You need to get a projector!!!
Of course here in UB, IMAX is out of the question.  You can pick up a DVD that is still playing in the theaters for $3.  Not as cheap as Beijing

Once you get a projector in your room with an 8 foot screen, it will almost be like IMAX!

Then he will need to get at least 15,000 watts of amplification to match the bigger picture...
