Best way to re-glue a dust cap?
« on: 21 Jul 2006, 06:58 pm »
Hey, had some silly hot humid weather here lately which may have contributed to a dust cap coming unglued and first buzzing and then falling off (with a little help from me) on my Lorelie's.

What's the best way to glue that buggar back on?

Turns out Scan Speak was purchased by some California joint - Tymphany.  Fortunately they don't allow joe schmuck like you and I to call them directly and Klaus has had no luck with them returning calls.  Hmmpf.

They list Madisound as the place to call for any consumer questions - so I called Madisound.  Turns out they suggest using any latex based adhesive.  Something like liquid nails or Bosstick (?) - not a tile adhesive type of thing.

So, we'll give that a shot.

You might want to post the question on the Madisound board as well, lots of speaker guru's over there.
