Here are some of the new parts.   I'm adding new ones to inventory all the time.

I'm very happy with all the new additions.   The XLRs in particular.   The prices are right at less than half the big name parts.

Exodus Cable Mount Female XLR

Exodus Cable Mount Male XLR

Exodus Chassis Mount Female XLR

Exodus Binding Post with Faston tabs

How about some RCA (male) connectors alternatives comparable to the WBTs, but more affordable? I want to make up some IC but can't afford 70-80$ on just the (4)connectors. I like the Exodus RCA chassis mount connectors and the Exodus 5 way speaker connector, and in fact need to order more.

Which model WBTs do you like?    I've considered doing an RCA next but I'm fairly happy with the Cardas ones.

Well, to be quite honest the only one I could afford was the midline 0144, I think...currently that model will cost me over 120$$ for a stereo pair set...last year I bought some, when they were on sale, and it cost me about 80$ for the stereo pair.
I would love to try the new signature line since I got 150' of shielded silver plated copper wire(twisted pair of centers with shield), but no way can I afford 48$ each.
Anyways...which Cardas RCA would be comparable with the midline WBTs?

Hey Kevin...do you offer a quantity discount for item purchases of a dozen or more per item?  Something like what partsexpress does...

What's your favorite cable for use with these connectors?

There are clones of the 0144 I could put into inventory.   I've never liked those locking RCAs and I just couldn't bring myself to put the Exodus name on something I don't like.

When I reach for something to terminate my own cables with it is typically the Cardas GRCM.   They are about $8 each so you are at $32 for a set of four.   The locking barrels of the WBTs are difficult to use in confined spaces and I've never seen the need to wrench down on the connection to get a proper fit.   The Cardas RCAs seem to fit with just the right amount of tension.   Get some contact conditioner also and that improves the situation dramatically in terms of fit and electrical connection.   You are at less than half the price of the WBT solution and I like them much more than the WBTs.

You know my shopping cart system doesn't handle the calculations currently.   I've been looking at ways to impliment something like this and also discounted shipping for larger orders.

My suggestion is to give me a call if you have a larger order.

Oh Karl.... you’re trying to open a can of worms here aren’t you?  :nono:

Ok.... I should state my standard disclaimer when it comes to wire.

About 99% of what is bandied about concerning wire and the differences it induces in the audio system is hype, voodoo and snake oil.    Don't get me wrong... there are typically small audible differences in wire but they are not of the magnitude as claimed by most.   The differences are of a magnitude that they are not picked up via statistic testing in blind listening.   If they where provable any cable company could easily make claims that their cable was preferred 3:1 over other leading brands.   Sort of like the Pepsi Challenge.   :)

My general philosophy when giving people advice is that they should spend their money in the areas that make the most audible difference first.   The loudspeaker/room interface is currently the largest source of error in the audio playback system.  It makes the most sense that money & effort spent on that area before spending large sums of money on exotic cable.

With that in mind my favorite "working man's cable" is the Canare L-2T2S.   It is well engineered with a simple twisted pair geometry & shield.    Cost is a manageable $0.70/ft and it sounds as good as many so called high-end cables costing multiples of that.

My favorite boutique cable is the G-Master Reference by Cardas.   It is once again a simple twisted pair design with a very good shield.

Both of these cables are low capacitance with good shielding and noise rejection characteristics.   The Cardas has the advantage of using their proprietary litz coating (constant Q thing).   The biggest advantage to this in my opinion is that it prevents the copper from oxidizing over time.    It also uses a more expensive Teflon dielectric and other premium materials that pushes its price up to $5/ft.

If you have a big wallet the Cardas is good stuff.   If you have a smaller wallet the Canare is a good choice.

Thanks for the great response.  I wasn't trying to open a can of worms, only seeking for a recommendation should I decide to try my hand at making some DIY Cables for myself.  :-)

For some anecdotal evidence I've blind tested the Carnare against a couple hideously expensive cables at CES, both 2006 & 2005.    Both times I did so in other systems besides mine with well respected equipment.    Both times the group present choose the Canare.

None of this was done with strict testing methods and the sample is too small to be statistically meaningful but there you have it.     The Canare won the Pepsi Challange against  one set of cables that are $2000/1M pair and the other that was $800/1M pair.
