Recommended New Age Jazz Recordings?
« on: 26 May 2006, 12:22 am »
Dear everyone,

I've always enjoyed listening to new age jazz and would like to start a modest collection of CDs (20 to 30).  Can people please provide their recommendations?

Thank you,

John

Hi John,

Do a google for Jazz websites and you will find all the help you need in all genres of jazz.   Here are a few to get you started and feel free to post what artists/group you have listened to an liked.  Read as many of the threads as you can handle to get exposure to what is being discussed.  Then ask for people to make suggestions from that initial start list.  You will receive a lot of advice.

The Narada label, most of their recordings are in that genre.

I think Windham Hills released new age jazz audiophile recordings.

I like the Narada label myself:
http://www.narada.com/

They sell sampler albums that are worth checking out.  On their website you can download sample music from the artists and there are links to the artist's individual web pages...

They also do a good job with their recordings....always a plus!

Best,
