upsampling DVD player recomendations?
« on: 6 May 2006, 01:21 pm »
Hey all...

I recently bought a nice 52" Mitsubishi DLP HDtv, and am now finding the video output of my Toshiba SD9200 player ...well, sucks.

so, i'm hunting for a new DVD player, that will also double as a redbook / DVD-Audio transport.

my only requirements are:
upsamples video to 720 or 1080
DVD-A friendly

i'm going to buy used, unless there is something rediculously great for short money new.  any ideas?  whats hot these days?

FS:  Toshiba sd9200 flagship DVD-V/A deck from 2001.
$375
used sparringly as a redbook transport mostly.

You really ought to go new if you can, but maybe a Denon 2910 at Ecost, if they have any...
