Hag-Usb review
« on: 16 Feb 2006, 06:56 am »
Jim I'm feeding the kit from my desktop to a crappy HarmanCardon ht reciever with over 40' of cable and it is performing really nice. Beating the unmodified Toshiba 3960 I was using. I know that's not much of a comparison, but the Tosh is a fine sounding player. And who ever thought going through 40' of cable would be listenable. Wonder what it can do with a really good dac?  Oh and the headphone out is a nice little bonus. It sounds great with my $20 koss ksc-15's

You mean you have 40' of USB cable going to the HagUSB? Is it going thru hubs or active?

Running digital cable 40' long out of the Hag-usb. I don't usually run audio thru a 40' cable, but it was already installed in the wall from my PC to my HT so I gave it a try and was surprised at the result.  I recently purchased a DAC-AH that I will try as soon as I run it in.
Belkin has a wireless usb hub coming out this summer. Looks promising for a long distance solution. I plan on gettin one and will post the results of it here.
