Can anyone tell me if their is an adjustment to the front led light. It seems that on my Monos, one is brighter than the other. It looks like one is pushed closer to the front of the pannel and the other one is further back. Its driving me crazy. I'm ready to use black tape.

With some patience and a hex tool you can reposition the proximity of the LEDs to the glass. I've spent some time on this without achieving quite the perfection I want. I don't know if the LEDs on one mono are brighter than on the other or if it is a proximity problem. I'm going to try moving the LEDs away from the glass so they're both equally dim rather than equally bright. Out of pure frustration you could also cut the LED cables.

I've had the same problem too!
My Tempest is the brightess and the monos are dimmer, one side darker than the other, but if you adjust them, it should be fine...

Related issue with the Khartago LED:

How difficult/easy is it to replace the LED on the Khartago? What part number do I need to get to fix this, if I choose to do it myself? Part source?

Mine arrived not working. The Etesian had to go back for surgery to work, but at least the Khartago was functioning - but for the LED.

Now, though, I'd like to get the Khartago up to "brand new" spec.  The idea of spending another $30 to ship it back (not to mention delay) doesn't seem logical.

Ideas?

Sam

This one is easy. Contact Klaus and tell him to ship you an LED.

Right! OK! How many phone calls or emails should that take, sorry to ask.

The old white bulbs were easy to swap by twisting them out of a socket. Now Klaus uses LEDs which are wired to the circuit board. The white bulbs never lasted that long for me and are easy to find. LEDs though are another matter.

This really shouldn't be a big deal. I just need the part and some instruction on what to do. I've called and I have emailed. And the best I can get is, Send it back when you're not using it.

I already had to return the Etesian at my expense for repair and the idea of sending the heavier Khartago back, again at my expense, for a, what 89-cent LED replacement, for $30 in shipping and two-week absence seems extreme, I think.

Klaus and Co. seem to be moving on to other gear. I hope they're not forgetting us who bought on good faith.

Does the amp work??
If it does then listen to music. Thats what they are for they are not lamps. Sending a working amp back for the LED seem really crazy imho

PERHAPS he is preoccupied with updating his web site.

I'm curious what Khartago amp(s) you have that has a lit face plate are they mono's?  I have a couple Khartagos and the face plate is solid unlike the Stratos.

Guys,

Apologies to everybody who is waiting for one service or another product.
In the last couple of months,  I am burning the candle on both ends,  putting in 13 + hours easily every single day to get to the show, finish prototypes, do regular production,  travel,  the avalanche of mail,  and yes, actually work on the new site as well as being on the phone for an average of 4-5 hours a day.  I have been late for quite a few customers,  and really apologize for this,  and I promise that I'll get everything done asap.  However,  I am not going to rush and do a half-ass job either,  but it'll be done for sure.

Anyway,  the Khartago has a single regular blue LED  visible through a hole in the face plate.  And yes,  it can happen that the LED  goes out fast.  Shouldn't,  but it's still an electrical part.

Sam,  I'll get you out a harness tomorrow,

Klaus

Does that mean my lamp is defective or do I have to move it closer to the front. I opened the amp up and it seems the led is glued in place. and didnt want to rip it out without talking to you guys.

Thanks
Bob

Thanks, Klaus, for the getting that LED out to me. Much appreciated.

Re: what Khartago I own. I have a modded version with a solid faceplate with the LED in the center of the plate.

Regarding earlier posts about leaving the amp and pre-amp on 24/7 ... I come from the Jimmy Carter School of Conservation. I keep my winter thermostat at 67 degrees. I couldn't sleep if I left this stuff on seven days a week!

Oops my bad, I was thinking about the lit pane on the front of Stratos, which I wish was offered with Khartago amps..
