Any one using tubes with their PSB Goldi's?

Hi: I will try another approach for comments...... anyone using tubes with their PSB Goldi's? If so, what are you using and how much power? I listen loud to rock, so don't know if tubes are the way to go here! Thanks, Keith :?:

Maybe, but Golds are too hard for most tube amps to drive and I think they would respond better to a beefy 200W power amp, though I'd never tried it.  Besides, I think theyre forgiving enough on their own without the need for tubes in the mix.  What don't you like about the Goldis?

Thanks John: I love the Goldi's, but right now they seem to be a little bright for my liking. Mostly the room, I guess, but don't want to "go there" right now. I am using a Yammie a/v/ receiver, but treble is cut right back and annoying when turned up. I like the "sound " of tubes, but the Goldi's are pretty power hungry, so tubes, I think will not work. You might checkout a few hybrid amps...Butler, Blue Circle, ect. You'll have the power of SS with a tube-like sound....works for me. 8)
