No reason you can't use spikes with the XL subs . . . they aren't supplied, but can certainly be ordered and added.

There must be some confusion over what is "natural cherry". The cherry finish we have is actually the typical stained cherry that is probably the most popular high end furniture sold at this time. Looks like this cherry but with black inlaid edges and corners and it is beautiful:

The Cherry link above looks different from the Cherry link below.  My furniture matches the Cherry below better, which is why I'm concerned about the finish.

If the xlcherry.jpg and cherryold.jpeg are essentially the same color then I will wait for the Force XL.  If the 2 colors are different then I will order the current Force now.

That's all I'm trying to figure out.

The picture you link to (cherryold). is UNstained cherry with a clear lacquer finish . It is the stock finish for many of our current models that feature the solid hardwood trim pieces.  Cherry is very photoreactive and deepens with exposure to UV overtime.

The XL series are all STAINED cherry and then clearcoated. They are darker and somewhat red compared to unstained, clear cherry. So if you want the unstained, clear cherry, you'll want to order the current sub.
