Galante Rhapsody standmounts

Ive kinda of got the itch and I just spoke w/ the owner of a for-sale pair of these.  .Nice guy, very knowledgeable re: single ended tube stuff and he has replaced the Galantes w/ a DIY box w/ PHY (?) drivers of which he spoke glowingly.  I'm thinking of using the Galantes w/ EE MM pre and power amps.   I've had SF Concertino Homes with that gear and an Adire Rava sub.  The price is not outrageous but the manufacturer appears to have gone under so repairs or parts could be something of a gamble.
Anybody have personal knowledge of these?  I've read the reviews @ Enjoy the Music and they are quite positive.  Can I expect better sound   than my present speakers and in what way?
Also, at a similar price point, the Omega Speaker Hemptones are getting quite a bit of notice.   The cabinet quality probably can't be faulted in either case but single driver speakers are a mystery to me.
TIA for any help.

Until I heard the Hemp cones, the driver inside the Rhapsody's was my favourite 8 inch, the Radian 508B. Great with SET. Great manufacturer, direct genetic link to the Tannoy wing of Altec, Emilar, still today, in Santa Ana, CA. It is basically a modern Tannoy 800 coaxial similar to the Prestige stuff, not studio line.

Hemp, even better, IMO, turns out, in a slightly larger cab, digs way deep, no XO, no metal diaphragm, no phase issues, outstanding cone material, etc. The Galantes are good to ~50Hz, subs are essential for full range. The SuperHemps ~36Hz in room, not so sure about needing a sub. Similar SPL. The woodworking on both is fantastic. nb the Hemps remind me alot of the old Altecs and Tannoy Golds, warm yet resolved. 2 watts drives the daylights out of them.

For Sale  Pair of Radian 508B/2c coaxial speakers $500
