I'm a sucker for a stupid title for my tweaks, and used to catch Dan and Jane doing the NEWS on SNL.
But I too have a bit of TWEAK NEWS and it affects all those who have VMPS speakers with "SLOTS" (thus the title)
As you have probably seen, I recognize that BASS can be a funny thing, and many times a little adjustment can cause a nice result.
Well this tweak/adjustment involves "reversing" your SLOT.
In some cabinets, this is as simple as "unscrewing" the slot, turning it around and screwing it back on again.
In others or in some subs, you may have to plug a few screw holes and drill a few new ones.
This is especially nice for those who use the RM30C as a center channel and find the "View to a SLOT" not aesthetic. Simply do the "Hokey Pokey" and turn your SLOT around, that's what its all about
But no kidding, the PR's should be just as effective (and maybe more so) and you won't have friends looking in "your slot", with prying eyes.
Do be aware of one LARGE drawback to reversing the SLOT THRUST.
Putty Pinching, is much more difficult, but once you have done the pinching, you are pretty much set anyhow.
So if it is a rainy Sunday, and you're listening to your system, and want to play around, Pimp your VMPS and reverse that ole SLOT.

and see what it sounds like.
