As you might have gathered, I'm new here. Anyway I'm looking into the possbility of buying a pair of OB1s for myself and would like other people's opinons of them and links to or offers of review copies about this speaker.
I should also point out at this early stage that I am a Hi-Fi dealer based in Edinburgh, Scotland and have have just taken on the PMC range. So far I have been extemely impressed with them but we do not currently have the OB1s as a demonstration model in the store. We do however have the DB1, DB1M-C, GB1 and FB1.
How much better is the OB1 to the FB1? Is my current kit listed below up to the job of getting a good sound out of them? Any bad points about them? If anyone has links to or scanned in copies of reviews they have had I would be most interested in reading them.
Analogue Source: Michell Orbe SE with Technoarm and Ortofon Kontrapunkt B
Digital Sources: Arcam FMJ CD36 and Arcam FMJ DV29
Stereo Amplification: Spectral DMC-10 Preamplifier and Musical Fidelity A5cr Power Amplifier.
AV Amplification: Arcam AVR300 (with front channels driven by MF A5 power amp)
Main Speakers: Still to be decided, probably PMC OB1
Centre Speaker: Kef XQ2C
Surround Speakers: 4x Monitor Audio GRFX
Subwoofer: REL Acoustics Stentor 3
