Felicia at R.E. Designs

At Paul's persistent insistence I built the Felica and have put it through some quick initial bench tests.
The Felicia shows some pretty good low frequency rejection. At open circuit the Felicia has a resonance at 600 Hz and a smaller resonance at the third harmonic at 1800 Hz. After approximately 2.2 Khz the frequency response hits a very steep slope downwards and the attenuation is excellent till about 1 Mhz. From 1 Mhz to 2 Mhz the signal starts to come out of the "mud". This could well be from the expected poor common mode rejection of the older analog scope that I am presently using. I would need a true differential probe set up to be more precise here.
But all  of the above is at open circuit. Once a  60 watt load is presented to the unit the resonances at 600 and 1800 Hz decreased dramatically. In fact I am going to initially recommend that the unit draw at least 60 watts for good performance.
At some point in the future I am going to drive this unit with a power amp into a load a see what it does and what the best range of loads are. Now all I need is a power amp.
I will report more on this in the future and I will have a good long listen to see if the Felicia actually makes an improvement on my own designs and standard consumer designs such as my tuner and phono pre amp.
