Without a doubt.  When I first auditioned them in NYC, my buddy Jetsons came with me and i don't think either of us thought the SEs compared.  Now, admittedly, the Solos aren't cheap...and they aren't "horny" either.  In fact, an audiophile friend says the Solos are the horns for hornhaters, and perhpas are the best in some respects in the entire AG line.  Coherancy is sooo good on the is speaker, it is spooky.  Nothing bothers me more then when i hear a well set up speaker, and can tell drivers/sounds.

I should say, at 2k used, i still think the SEs run circles over everything i have heard.

So I take it you have become a fan of coaxial designs now? Is this the factor you feel they better the rest of the AG line in? Since it appears you have heard the whole line..give us some details..I'm sure others are interested too :D What's the retail on the Solos anyways? Thanks!

That may be part of it.  However, my Dyn 1.3SEs were extremely coherant as well.  I can list off a whole bunch of speakers that I don't find this to be correct, and it bugs me.  Some say the AGs "beam" at you, and others say this is clarity that lower efficent speakers just don't give you--ie. "the truth"  I have only heard Trios at the HE show 2 years ago, and they sounded wonderful to me (in a BAT HT setup no less!- although the music was so good, that after the HT demo they went back).   Honestly, i thought for a minute about Unos, but they are just sooo big.  You really need a glarge room.  Also, the trad. thinking is go directly to Duos over the Unos as they have a better midrange, and those are 18k.  Big dollar amounts for me!

The other speaker I was set on were the Wilson Sophias.   However, the dynamics and ease of placement of the Solos were deal-sellers.

Solos retail depends on finish, but you are looking at 8.5k list.  Seems like a lot, unitl you realize you have built in 200 watt mono amps, and a full active crossover, and no need for speaker cables.

8.5k seems like a lot to me, no matter what's included

Well I'm really looking forward to hearing these (the AVs) and the Druids, and comparing them to the VMPS RM40s.

Although it will be on seperate systems, rooms and gear.

The VMPS RM40s with a pair of AMPZilla monoblocs would be in that retail price range ($5000 for Ampzilla and $4600 for the RM40s)

Hello everyone.  Ok, Sunday June 01 will work just fine.  I do believe that Zu will also bring their sub and processor as they look for any and every reason they can to drive their motorcycles on long trips.  Please pm me if you would like to come and I will give you my address and instructions.  It should be great.  Peace
