I want to get some rockwool panels to use for treatments but my plan for now is to not build frames around them but just to use spray adhesive to cover them with fabric.  Mounting them to the wall for reflection points then seems like no problem but that raises some questions of how to mount them in the corners.  So I'm wondering if anyone has done what I'm thinking about and then how did you mount the panels?

I bought 6 - 2'X4' pieces of OC703, 1 1/2". I cut 1 of the panels into triangles and covered them with loose cotton weave fabric, attached with safety pins, in the corners of the triangles. I then screwed picture hanging eyelets in the right locations and attached the safety pins so that the triangles stand out from the wall/ceiling 1 1/2". I've heard that the effectiveness of panels is enhanced if you can mount them 2"-4" away from the wall so I covered the panels with fabric, using safety pins, screwed 2 eyelets into the ceiling and used some string to run around the perimeter of the panel so that they are suspended 2' from the ceiling, 4" from the wall. Works well for me.

Holy crap, safety pins as hangers is a great idea.  Why do we sometimes make things so difficult.  That would probably work very well for me.  Thanks.  I'm not worried about the spacing for the ones that will span the corners because there will be a natural space, but I will have to figure out how to space the regular panels off the wall. I also thought of using floral wire to go through the panel and create a loop on the back.  Anyone else have alternative methods?
